Paul's TV has been a part of local short track racing here in CT for over 25 years. Growing up in a family
of avid race fans, it was only natural that Gary would look to become a part of the sponsorship circuit as a business owner.
In 1982, Paul's TV became a sponsor for the first time with driver "Dickie Doo" Ceravolo, who ran
a modified at the Waterford Speedbowl. The two not only had a business relationship, but became family friends as well. Years
later, we became car owners for Dick's son Todd, who drove us to a championship at the Thompson International Speedway
in Thompson, CT in 1999. With the start of the new millenium, we turned down
yet another avenue in the world of racing. We started our own race team, both as car owner and driver. Gary's son
Jeffrey began racing quarter midgets at the "Little T" in Thompson,CT at the age of 12. He raced quarter midgets
from 2000-2004, not only as a regular at the Little T, but also frequenting the Silver City Speedway in Meridan,
CT, and Wall Stadium in Wall Township,NJ. In this short time period, Jeffrey went on to rack up nearly 100 feature
wins and a total of 5 championship titles. In 2004, Jeffrey began his sophmore year of high school, and the father/son
team decided it was time to begin another chapter in their racing careers. Gary purchased a Legend car, and the two became
regulars at the Waterford Speedbowl. They raced on not only Saturday nights, but also as the feature division for the
tracks Wild & Wacky Wednesday night program. That year jeffrey earned the "Rookie of the Year"
title and brought home 6 feature win trophys. The two decided that the following year they would focus on becoming the
divisions champoions.
2005 began and the pair decided it was time to introduce
Jeffrey to an SK modified. He began pulling double duty on Wednesday nights, racing his Legend car
as well as an X-modified. (An X-mod is essentially a standard modified race car with a restrictor plate on the engine). Between
both his Wednesday and Saturday night victories, the two racked up another 7 Legend car victories that year, along
with 4 wins in the X-mod, and the Legends championship title as well. Feeling the need for even more of a challenge, Paul's
TV racing left the X-mod and the Legend car for a full bown SK modified in 2006. Jeffrey drove alongside many of
the men he had grown up watching and idolizing from the grandstands as a child. That year he earned his first SK win, at the
age of just 17. He also was crowned rookie of the year. In 2007 Jeffrey took home another feature win trophy, and finished 5th over all in
the points standings. None of the success we have achieved could have possibly been obtained without the strong
family values and commitment to excellence we all share. We not only work closely running the family busness, but also our
race team. Gary and Jeffrey build and maintain their cars along with members of their immediate family and a closely knit
group of friends. Arthur Paul, Jeffrey's grandfather and founder of the original Paul's TV is at each and every one
of Jeffrey's races. He keeps the team organized and the car in picture perfect condition. Jeffrey's mother Denise
is the teams cheerleader, always around to rally up support. She also heads up our group of fans in the grandstands who
have become known as "Paul's Posse" to the regulars at the Speedbowl. Jeffrey's sister Kimberly is the teams
runner, always nearby to give a helping hand with whatever may be needed. Riley Dean, Jeffrey's nephew, has been coming
to cheer on his Uncle J since opening day of 2007, at the age of just 4 monthes. Our loyal crew includes Kyle Marsh,
Keith Hitchcock, Chris Forster, Nate Thomas, and Luke Tussing.
